Yesterday I decided to create a facebook page of my photography. I have badge to the right that will take you to my Clutz Creations Photography page. I will be adding regularly! I have add many more photos into my deviantART gallery that can be made into prints. I am also considering commission work. Where someone would send me a picture of themselves, pets etc & I would blend it into one of my images. A couple of years ago, I did this making personalized digital Christmas cards. I have also made digital scrapbooks. These are just thoughts I am coming up with to keep myself busy! Comment or suggestions would be helpful. Getting late..so adding this texture.

Sad news this month as My Tag Art announced they were shutting down at the end of October! The administration & customer service were very people friendly! And the forum was like family! This company will surely be missed & I wish all the best for them in their next venture!

Obie & Sweet Pea

I'm very sorry I have not been around much these past several months. As reported in an earlier post, I was taking care of my mother. I am sad to report my mom did not survive her quest with brain cancer. She was actually doing great after surgery, but with her age the radiation and chemo took her body down. It was really hard on her and my family to watch such an active and healthy person deteriate so fast.

Now on to a more cheerful incident. Yes this really happened! And this is one reason we found our goats another home. A friend was visiting us and our "brats" Sweet Pea & Obie decided to fight over her car! I could not believe my eyes. And poor Rosie, but at least she thought it was funny too!

I guess I should have taken Obie more seriously (when he was still a baby), the day I found him "stuck" on a toy car! lol Little did I know he would tackle the "big" toys.

Anyhow, after many summers with no flowers, all the goose food they had eaten (instead of the geese), we decided to find them another home. I will miss them dearly, especially Obie, whom I watched being born. They went to a great home, with much more land than we had and will be well taken care of. I of course, can go visit them and bring them treats when ever I want too. As you can see, Obie was my baby! He was very much a lap goat! lol

I am also happy to report a brand new licensing company is the process of opening and they contacted me to sign my photography with them. I see great opportunities with this company and very happy for them!! I wish them ALL the luck in the world!

Snow...arg

Well, well, it has been awhile! My mom is doing better, she has her good days and her bad days! She started chemo last week and in her 2nd week of radiation. Last night 3 people broke into her house, pepper sprayed my daughter & took all of my mom's meds! I hope one of those jerks takes one of my mom's chemo pills and gets sicker than a dog! LOL

Anyway on to another subject....it snowed like crazy last night! Almost looks winter..lol I see truck loads of snow machines headin' north!

With the way this weather has been, it doesn't surprize me it snowed so much on the last day of February!

It's getting harder and harder to predict the weather! The geese are taking it in stride & walking very lightly! Somehow they have learned how to walk on top of the snow! Being 15-20# poultry... that takes expertise!!

Happy New Year

I am sorry for being MIA lately. I just realized December has come & gone & it is already January & a new year! My mother had a brain tumor & surgery to remove most of it the 11th of last month. And I have been staying with her at the hospital (6 out of 7 days a week). Since I live 70 miles from Anchorage, I just stay at the hospital. She came out of surgery with stroke like symtoms with no movements on her right side & no speech. She is in rehabilitation at the hospital & making progress everyday. She is expected to stay for a couple more weeks.

My daughter & sister came in to stay the past 2 nights with her so I could come home to see my hubby, dog, do some laundry & sleep in my own bed!

My sis took the above picture with her, brother, mom & myself & made a New year tag. Thanks sis!

The weather here has been aweful, we have been in a deep freeze (-25) for the past 2 weeks & weather says it will at least another week.

Thankful For?

November is really flying by, I can't believe Thanksgiving is almost here. This is a time to reflect - time, living, longing, family, friends and your own thoughts. What am I thankful for? The most important thing is my life and thankful for being alive! I am thankful for my family and friends supporting and encouraging me 2 years ago, when I could've lost my life. My belief was almost shattered but someone above answered my prayers. I'm really not a religious person, but I do believe. I believe in the power of prayer and all things in this universe are possible. I am thankful for having a loving & healthy family!
So as Thanksgiving approaches, what are you truely thankful for?

Fox

I was sitting here trying to work up something when the 2 dogs RAN out to the back yard and started barking. This is the usual time they & the neighbor dogs have a howling contest, so I didn't think anything of it. Then Gunner came running back into the house and practically jumped in my lap like he was scared & Chylo was still barking outside. So I went into the bedroom (Dave was sleeping) to look out the back window & saw nothing. I then went to the side window and saw the direction Chylo was barking. I looked over there and saw the biggest fox I have ever seen, and he was watching the geese. I said Oh Sh** and Dave woke up. I said there's a fox and he got up. I came back into the kitchen and kept an eye on him until Dave got up. The fox several times headed to the barn but ran back because of the dogs. Dave was in the kitchen by this time with his 22 and asked me to slide the window open. One shot & fox was gone. Dave went outside to find him.

And I went out to count geese, which by this time, had moved between our trucks. The goats were on the porch watching Dave! We tracked him to across the highway & Dave said he would find him in the morning. I checked on the geese a little bit ago & now they were on the porch!!..

So tonight I was very thankful for our dogs as they saved the day!

Quick blog today..I want to thank group Mommy Me & PSP for having me as their AOTM (artist of the month)! I met a lot of awesome peeps! With my final contest I had requested a "mailbox tag" with matching "mail checked tag". I was really impressed they each also made a background, so it was now a complete "mailbox webset".! Winners were Charlie, Jenny & Kim. Thank you ladies!! Now I need to choose which I am going to put where!! lol
Now onto a more serious note....MSN..lol I know a lot of groups, including the 3 I am in have been scurring around to find new homes. Thank goodness, they are giving us some time. But a lot of groups are going to wait to see Windowa Live. I saw a sneak peek & was not impressed!! Anyway...good luck to all that are looking!

Feelin' Funky

Well here it is 2:40am. I was almost done winding down from work, when I decided to post instead. I should be going to bed, but I'm feeling kinda funky.

I had made a tag a month or so ago & looking at the image, I was wondering if I should be putting it into a package, use it as a freebie or be stingy & keep it myself...lol

So here the original image above. With the ability to use PSP, the results can be un-ending.

And the lower one is the final result. I still amaze myself sonetimes with

the final result. I am such a perfectionist, which at times frustrates me to no end!! If the tag is not perfect in my eyes, I have worked on them 3-4 hours until I am happy with it!

Fall Time Colors

My real life has been very hectic! Right now I am a Job Coach without a crew. My crew got laid off til Jan 1st. Sooooooo, I am being put where I am needed. Now don't get me wrong, I do like variety....but....I'm not crazy about change in the middle of a sentence (so they say)! In other words, when I get my schedule, I don't like the day before they say..."oh yea, we changed your schedule"... Anyhow, enough of that!

I went out 2 weeks ago & got some great "fall" pics! The colors were simply beautiful! I love falltime here! Too bad we did not get a decent summer. The temps are starting to decline, 30's at night and 40's during the day. We had our 1st frost of the season a few days ago!

Strawberries

Well it appears fall is crashing in fast as summer leaves us just as fast. I gotta say, this has been the wierdest summer I have seen in many years! Although it was very nice to see everything green the whole summer, because of all the rain. Thought we were in a rain forrest belt! lol Because of the lack of sun, I did notice the garden did not grow as it usually does.

The size of veggies were not humungous! To give you an example, we had tons of wild strawberries, tiny but very sweet!
As you can see the size difference between the wild ones and one grown commercially. With fall arriving so fast, the leaves are turning colors very fast! I am off this week from work, and my intentions are to get out and take some of those colorful pictures. Because as fast as the leaves are leaving, next week will be too late!

Tomorrow I am heading into Wasilla (the town Governor Sarah Palin is from) and get a couple of geese. We finally found a new mate for Chewy who lost his mate at the beginning of summer to neighbor dogs. All summer, Chewy has been so lost. As you can see he used to interact with us quite well. I am hoping his new "friend" will bring Chewy back to us. Only time will tell. By spring he will hopefully be back to normal!

Doggie Entertainment

Ah yes, the activities we do to entertain ourselves in the summer.

This past weekend, I attended a "Lure Cursing" event! I have watched this before & it always amazes me the concept & the reasoning behind this event! It is really quite exciting to watch dogs run around a field chasing paper bags! The dogs come in all sizes. These above are my sister's Skip's. She has many of them & they all look the same. Thank goodness she has dog tags so I can tell them apart! lol

After they all run, there are run-offs. This run-off on the left was 3rd run and run off between a Ibetzen hound and a Skip for field win, the 3rd dog was to have been a boxer, but the owner felt the dog was too tired. Now I tell ya, when I saw these 2, it was interesting to watch the size difference!

On your mark, get set..........Tally-Ho!!!

At the end of the events, ribbons and "trophys" (stuffed animals) were handed out. Here's my sis (Kathy) & 2 of her skip's Missey & Yukon!

All in all, everyone (dogs, owners & spectators) appeared to have a great time, I know I enjoyed myself! Next month Kathy is going to an event where her dogs will be pulling carts!

Where did Summer go??

Summer came & with the blink of an eye has already gone! We just last week mowed our lawn for the first time this summer! Our goats are hiding out in the barn, for fear they might get wet! lol Our geese are awaiting the hatching of their new goslings in about 2 weeks...It will be a late birth, as goslings are usually already born. The dogs play with bugs in the dandies! The Fireweed has not bloomed yet & we have TONS of Fox Tails!! This summer has truely been the wierdest summer I have EVER seen in Alaska. Though with so much rain, everything is really green!!

I sent in 3 packages to AMI & awaiting their arrival at the site! The packs have some fresh new fun stuff, flowers & abstract images! I was just playing and came up with unusal pics (at least for me)!

Our granddaughters leave tomorrow, back to Fairbanks, after almost 3 weeks! We went camping, summerfest & just enjoyed them! It will for sure be VERY quiet when they leave!! lol Not only to us but also to our 2 dogs!! Chylo (pictured) thinks her job is to protect them especially at night! I keep telling their parents, we'll keep them til the end of August, when they leave for Idaho!

Summertime

Hmmmm..has been a long time since I have posted.. My real life has been very hectic & stressful. We thought summer was here, but apparently the gods are tricking us! Because it feels like fall. lol

We went to a Bluegrass festival a few weeks ago & it was truely awesome!! The musicians gave us a fabulous show. It was 48 hours of great music!

I'm in the process of putting together 2 more packages for AMI. One will be of the festival & the other will be flowers and abstract images! This will coincide with me being one of the photographers for month of July at AMI. I am really pysched!!!!

I have my 2 granddaughters for the next couple of weeks & my time will be very busy!! My oldest (11) is already a fan of psp! They will be moving to Idaho in August. sigh So I'll be taking full advantage! lol

Going to be keeping this one short, but wanted to offer these textures.

Eagles

Our water level dropped in November, so we've been conserving with the water. We found unmentionables in the well, so we have been hauling our drinking water. This summer, we are ahving a new well drilled. Comes to find out, our well is only 78 inches deep! Anyway I was on my way to the laundermat & as I was leaving my driveway I saw a couple of eagles in a tree. I stopped the truck, leaft it running and went into the house to get my camera. I never see eagles in our trees, only flying. I decided to make a tag using this image (which will be in my next package).

They kept watching me as I was moving around getting different angles. Finally they decided I was getting to close and flew away! I noticed the geese were keeping their eye on they too!!!
This week is going to be very busy & hectic for me. My schedule is going to be like a yo-yo, evenings then days, back and forth for 4 days. Conferences for work.

Leon

We live on a rural "farm" in Alaska. We own geese, goats, dogs and 2 cockatiels. All of our critters have names and we spoil them!!

Dave's goat, Leon is a 200# animal, and the past couple of months, he has been getting agressive with me. He doesn't want to share me with the other 2 goats (Sweet Pea & her son Obie), of which I claim as mine! lol

Anyway, back to my story. Dave has worked with Leon to be a pack goat. The only problem he has with him is Leon WILL NOT cross any body of water, whether it be a steam or just a small mud puddle!! The two of them have gone reound & round with this subject!!! Leon started to get agressive with me to the point, at times he wouldn't let me out the front door!! Then a couple of weeks ago he thought he would try a new trick & tried to head butt me!!!! He would rear up on his hind quarters and come at me. Anyway Dave thought it was time Leon move to a new residence. It was a hard decision on both of our parts, considering we've had him since he was 3 months old, 4 1/2 years ago. We did find him a new home where he will be "king" of the roost!!

Day Off

I have the day off, and to celebrate I will be offering a trio of freebie images of mine at the bottom. Me, who never hardly takes time off from work just found out I have been giving my vacation time back to my agency for the past 3 months. I had got to a certain level of hours and do not collect anymore! So I made out a whole stack of leave requests all the way thru Sept & gave them to my boss...the look on his face was priceless!!! A day here & a day there, at least 3 days a month, with more in June & Sept! I love my job, but I also love days off!!!! I asked myself if I wanted to work for nothing....don't think so..lol

Springtime in Alaska

Ever eaten a goose egg?? This is the size difference between a quail (on left) and a goose egg! We have geese and they are starting their breeding season. We love it when they start to lay eggs, as we don't have to buy chicken eggs!

One goose egg is equivilent to 3 chicken eggs! Makes 1 nice omelet! lol Each eagg is approx 294 calories & 32 grams protein. The fat or cholestral content has not been figured yet. This is what a "basket" of eggs should really look like!! 1 deviled egg is meal!!! Quite tasty!

Today is Easter and in about 1 hour I am headed to work. My family who lives 60 miles from here are hunting easter eggs (chicken) & my hubby took his dog and are hunting spruce grouse. Me?? I am hunting quietness for this hour..lol
