Happy New Year

I am sorry for being MIA lately. I just realized December has come & gone & it is already January & a new year! My mother had a brain tumor & surgery to remove most of it the 11th of last month. And I have been staying with her at the hospital (6 out of 7 days a week). Since I live 70 miles from Anchorage, I just stay at the hospital. She came out of surgery with stroke like symtoms with no movements on her right side & no speech. She is in rehabilitation at the hospital & making progress everyday. She is expected to stay for a couple more weeks.

My daughter & sister came in to stay the past 2 nights with her so I could come home to see my hubby, dog, do some laundry & sleep in my own bed!

My sis took the above picture with her, brother, mom & myself & made a New year tag. Thanks sis!

The weather here has been aweful, we have been in a deep freeze (-25) for the past 2 weeks & weather says it will at least another week.

Thankful For?

November is really flying by, I can't believe Thanksgiving is almost here. This is a time to reflect - time, living, longing, family, friends and your own thoughts. What am I thankful for? The most important thing is my life and thankful for being alive! I am thankful for my family and friends supporting and encouraging me 2 years ago, when I could've lost my life. My belief was almost shattered but someone above answered my prayers. I'm really not a religious person, but I do believe. I believe in the power of prayer and all things in this universe are possible. I am thankful for having a loving & healthy family!
So as Thanksgiving approaches, what are you truely thankful for?

Fox

I was sitting here trying to work up something when the 2 dogs RAN out to the back yard and started barking. This is the usual time they & the neighbor dogs have a howling contest, so I didn't think anything of it. Then Gunner came running back into the house and practically jumped in my lap like he was scared & Chylo was still barking outside. So I went into the bedroom (Dave was sleeping) to look out the back window & saw nothing. I then went to the side window and saw the direction Chylo was barking. I looked over there and saw the biggest fox I have ever seen, and he was watching the geese. I said Oh Sh** and Dave woke up. I said there's a fox and he got up. I came back into the kitchen and kept an eye on him until Dave got up. The fox several times headed to the barn but ran back because of the dogs. Dave was in the kitchen by this time with his 22 and asked me to slide the window open. One shot & fox was gone. Dave went outside to find him.

And I went out to count geese, which by this time, had moved between our trucks. The goats were on the porch watching Dave! We tracked him to across the highway & Dave said he would find him in the morning. I checked on the geese a little bit ago & now they were on the porch!!..

So tonight I was very thankful for our dogs as they saved the day!

Quick blog today..I want to thank group Mommy Me & PSP for having me as their AOTM (artist of the month)! I met a lot of awesome peeps! With my final contest I had requested a "mailbox tag" with matching "mail checked tag". I was really impressed they each also made a background, so it was now a complete "mailbox webset".! Winners were Charlie, Jenny & Kim. Thank you ladies!! Now I need to choose which I am going to put where!! lol
Now onto a more serious note....MSN..lol I know a lot of groups, including the 3 I am in have been scurring around to find new homes. Thank goodness, they are giving us some time. But a lot of groups are going to wait to see Windowa Live. I saw a sneak peek & was not impressed!! Anyway...good luck to all that are looking!

Feelin' Funky

Well here it is 2:40am. I was almost done winding down from work, when I decided to post instead. I should be going to bed, but I'm feeling kinda funky.

I had made a tag a month or so ago & looking at the image, I was wondering if I should be putting it into a package, use it as a freebie or be stingy & keep it myself...lol

So here the original image above. With the ability to use PSP, the results can be un-ending.

And the lower one is the final result. I still amaze myself sonetimes with

the final result. I am such a perfectionist, which at times frustrates me to no end!! If the tag is not perfect in my eyes, I have worked on them 3-4 hours until I am happy with it!

My real life has been very hectic! Right now I am a Job Coach without a crew. My crew got laid off til Jan 1st. Sooooooo, I am being put where I am needed. Now don't get me wrong, I do like variety....but....I'm not crazy about change in the middle of a sentence (so they say)! In other words, when I get my schedule, I don't like the day before they say..."oh yea, we changed your schedule"... Anyhow, enough of that!

I went out 2 weeks ago & got some great "fall" pics! The colors were simply beautiful! I love falltime here! Too bad we did not get a decent summer. The temps are starting to decline, 30's at night and 40's during the day. We had our 1st frost of the season a few days ago!
